The historic Holmes Book Co. building is now home to a healthful, delicious cafe serving breakfast and lunch throughout the weekday. Our Executive Chef, Christine Wells, highlights fresh, local ingredients when preparing the daily selection of salads, soups, and tartines available to eat in or to-go.

Keba and Rachel Konte of Red Bay Coffee designed our coffee program to accentuate the local, sustainable ingredient-driven fare. Andrew Schiff of Oak & Fig Baking oversees the café’s baked goods, which include savory pastries, pies, and sweets. Come join us for a latte and pastry in our historic space or grab a tartine to go, on your way to Lake Merritt.
